We’ve been talking about Figure Dream Packs for some time now. Probably dating back to the Bespin Leia Escape reveal from 2020 and the fight for TVC petition. We’ve been pitching ideas for what the pack could be. Original 96? Jabba Goons? Bounty Hunters? A New Hope Heroes? Should a figure dream pack even be a thing? Why can’t Hasbro just increase the budget and expand the line ??? For those of us that live in reality this is becoming more and more desired. As of right now, there’s a few dream packs I can think of when analyzing the 2024 Last Figure Standing submission insights and those are The Bad Batch and Rogue One. Both had 4 characters each in the top 30 but more so The Bad Batch had 4 in the top 15!! For that reason The Bad Batch should just be made in the Mainline. Rogue One is also beloved by the collector community as a whole and is regarded as the best Disney era Star Wars film. Let’s begin with the cast of 19 characters below. Imperials – Galen Erso, Grand Moff Tarkin, Tie Fighter Pilot, Imperial Ground Crew. Rebels – Sergeant Ruescott Melshi, pilot Laren Joma, Bistan, Lieutenant Taidu Sefla, Pao, Admiral Raddus, Mon Mothma, Baze Malbus, Bodhi Rook. Extreme Rebels Saw Gerrera, Beezer Fortuna, Weeteef Cyu-Bee, Moroff, Benthic Two Tubes, and Endrio Two Tubes.

Let’s move through who to eliminate. The first three to be chopped are pilot Laren Joma, Bistan, and Lieutenant Sefla. Let’s save Joma and Bistan for a future U-Wing Vehicle assortment that should be offered or included with a properly/better scaled U-Wing. Sefla can leverage tooling in the future and be offered carded or in a troop builder set.

Next up on the chopping block are all the Imperials. We’re going to focus on a Rebels for this pack. The Death Trooper, Shoretrooper, Tank Commander, Assault Tank Driver, Rogue One Stormtrooper, and Death Star Gunner from Rogue One are already in the line so let’s see some Rebel love.

Next up on the chopping block are some extremist Rebels. I know, I know, there’s some cool extremists we are chopping and one is a relative of Bib Fortuna and one of the others was played by Warwick Davis. Sorry Beezer Fortuna, Weeteef, Moroff, and Endrio Two Tubes…I’d love to have all of these in the line and would hope another rebel pack would be offered down the road to include them. Tubes was removed too since getting Benthic in the line would offer a partial tool to make Endrio.

So here we are with the final 8. Before I jump into them I want to provide some LFS Fan poll stats. 7 Characters from Rogue One made the top 254 most wanted submissions, which means they received at least 10 fan votes or more. Bistan was #233 but, as we noted above, he should come with an all new better scaled U-Wing.

Here’s my thought process: Rebels are sorely needed from a missing in action standpoint. All of these are character debuts from a never made in super articulated form. 3 of them are leaders within the rebellion. Raddus is constantly requested by collectors and it would be great to get another Mon Calamari in the line. Mon Mothma from ROTJ was actually #69 most wanted on the LFS fan poll so getting her Rogue One version can lead to a partial tool ROTJ version. Saw Gerrera is in so many Star Wars sources now, from The Clone Wars, Rebels, Rogue One, to Andor, he’s a no brainer and sad that we don’t have him yet. Tubes! Tubes is not only in Rogue One and Rebels, but also in Andor, where he’s in a great scene with Luthen Rael and Saw Gerrera. Benthic leads to a partial tool of Endrio and he’s highly requested as seen above, coming in at #25 on the LFS 2024 fan poll. Let’s get some Rebel forces too, Melshi is a pivotal character in the movie where he frees Jyn Orso and is in the battle on Scariff. He’s also in Andor and I should also mention he can lend tooling to other rebel troopers. Then there’s Paodok’Draba’Takat Sap’De’Rekti Nik’Linke’Ti’ Ki’Vef’Nik’NeSevef’Li’Kek aka Pao a cool new alien species (Drabatans) that would provide some great diversity and has a cool seen where screams full open month. Provide an alternate head with the full open mouth scream. This finally leads me to Baze Malbus and Bodhi Rook. How are they not already in TVC? Baze has been in the Top 10 of LFS both years of the poll. This year he was #4 overall and Bodhi did extremely well too, coming in right after Tubes at #26. Does it suck putting them behind a HasLab dream pack? Sure, but it’s better than not having them at all. The digital sculpts are out there from their Black Series scale counterparts, leverage them and let’s go!

So let’s complete the main Rogue One Crew and add some depth to our Rogue One displays and get some more rebels and rebel leaders in the line. Let’s set up some tooling that can be leveraged for more rebel troopers, another two tubes, another mon mothma, another Saw Gerrera before he becomes the rebel version of Darth Vader (more machine now than man), and lead to more Mon Calamari. I have no idea what pricing would be but I’d assume the pack would be priced around $200 include exclusive cardbacks (with coin?), additional accessories or alternate hands, and headsculpts.
