The community came out in droves for the finals of this year’s Last Figure Standing. With 1,714 votes cast, it was the highest participation rate of any round in the two year history of LFS. Amazingly, only 26 votes separated the two finalists despite this high turn out. That difference is only 1.5% of the total votes. The margin of victory was razor thin. In some ways it’s a shame that only one figure can take the crown this year, but them’s the breaks. With a total of 870 votes to 844, Arleil Schous edges out The Stranger to win this year’s Last Figure Standing! (written by Chris Swanski)
I’ll be going over the most wanted submission metrics over the next few months and drawing analysis and conclusions from what the insights provide. Below are the 3 dashboards built out this year where we’ve added a third dashboard that provides a comparative view of up to 3 different age groups. In this years initial poll where we asked the 3.75″ community to give us there 10 most wanted figures, we also asked them to provide their age range as an optional question. We’re excited to provid this grain of data and let the data also speak to different age groups and how their wants intersect but also how they differ. We want everyone’s voice to be heard and this may be one way to assist with that. Please make sure to check out the Finals livestream and also here’s the link to the 2024 Last Figure Standing Analytics Dashboard which is also embedded below.
Huge shoutout to Tim’s and Chris’ partnership and collaboration on this and for another successful year of fan-polling to determine the Last Figure Standing or the most wanted figure by the community. Also, I wanted to extend a huge thank you to Victoria’s Cantina (Victoria) and Yakface.com (Jayson) for the partnership/support and also to the many other sites, fan pages, and influencers that supported us along the way. Last but not least, a huge shoutout to the community that supported this fan driven event. We know we don’t always see eye to eye on what we want most but, in the end, it’s not really about that. It’s about coming together, having fun, and letting the powers at be know that we matter, our hobby matters, our passion matters and events like this and SWTVC’s March Madness is how we can show this. What it’s not about is being divisive or dismissive, or disrespectful for wants that are different than yours. The analytics show so many different voices, their intersections and their divergences. It’s a significant sample size with over 95% confidence level and provides details into what’s most wanted and what’s most wanted by different age demographics. We know Hasbro can leverage this to supplement their own extensive research and help satisfy the many wants of this community with data-driven insights to ensure the continuation, success, and viability of The Vintage Collection and premium 3.75″ Star Wars action figures.
