Hasbro Star Wars Fanstream Reveals

mm

As seen on the Hasbro Pulse Star Wars Fanstream on YouTube below are all the entertainment inspired The Vintage Collection reveals. Most notably, the Sabine & Chopper Mural cards, pipelined Cobb Vanth & Ahsoka the White, and clarifier on Fan Channel in various regions and what outlets are part of those respective region fan channels. All preorders available Wednesday, January 25th at 1 p.m. EST links available in my linktree.

As noted above Hasbro wanted to remind folks which retailers are considered Fan Channel. They also set the tone early in the stream that the reveals to start the year will be “light” and to trust them there’s a lot more to come. It could very well be the case that with all the Disney LFL delays and writers strike that recently occurred that new media offerings had to be pushed back causing Hasbro to shuffle around more repaints and repacks then wanted at this time. It also appears some carry forwards are happening in the next couple assortments as part of the shuffle.

Pipeline Reveals

I’m beyond thrilled to see Cobb Vanth in Boba Fett’s Armor finally coming to TVC. He has been a long wanted favorite of mine to come to the line and his looooong overdue. It’s great to see a droids 3 pack coming to the line and hopefully Ahsoka the White will be mostly new tooling even though we’ve gotten a lot if Ahsokas recently. The HK-87 repaint is we all new was coming and then we have repacked mainline card Dark Trooper and two minimal partial tools in Mando with the Beskar Trooper Jetpack and Bo-Katan with her updated pauldron. Revealing another Mando with the mainline reveal of him was exhausting and it would have been much more exciting to see a Beskar Trooper pipelined instead of Mando with their jetpack sigh… I guess we can assume they will come in the future. Also, dear hasbro STOP PIPELINING REPACKS. THANK YOU.

Some Additional Thoughts

At SDCC during the interview that Agustin and I had with the Brand Team seen here, they noted Axe would be a little bit but not full newly tooled figure sourced to season 3. In the first image below the film out shows his proper chest armor which we assumed was going to updated on the figure to make it accurate along with fixing the oversized helmet. Instead all we got was an updated helmet and well, a season 3 card… It’s unfortunate that what they noted at SDCC was not committed to. Hopefully, they used these tooling dollar at the very least, on something more important versus nothing at all.

After 2 versions of Rex with the skinny jean legs clone trooper buck we finally get him with the updated buck, uh yay!…

Season 3 Grogu and Mando just after getting them with the N1 and it’s unfortunate we did get these with Season 3. It’s getting exhausting waiting so long after media debuts for the figures that come with. The Mando Fleet Commander is just meh.

Sabine and Chopper look great with their Mural Cards as promised when the Ghost met it’s 17,000 backers but at the $50 price tag exclusive to Pulse is a hard pill to swallow. The loth cats don’t even have articulation. Sabine looks absolutely amazing and her helmet finally looks proportionate and we were advised it’s a swappable helmet. I love chopper and welcome him on the cool Mural card despite the price.

Last, but not least the Hildebrandt Logo is now FREE (of obstruction), shoutout to all those who campaigned for this, it’s taken a few years for this change to finally happen – special shoutout and pat on the back to the our group of Admins in the Facebook group for campaigning hard for this. (Corey, Agustin, Lando) Your efforts are greatly apprecated, we can now SHUDDDUUPPPP about it.

So it was a bit of doozy but there were some fist pumps during the stream – Cobb Vanth, Mural Cards reveal, and Hildebrandt logo liberation we my silver linings. I wish we could have seen a prototype of the pipelined Princess Leia so we’ll just hve to hope we see her on the next Fanstream.
