Rhode Island Comic Con w/ Banthaskull.com

mm

It was an honor to attend Rhode Island Comic Con with my friends over at www.banthaskull.com. Being a guest contributor has it’s privileges and I was able to start a tradition with Chris as this was our 2nd year in a row attending together. Even better, we got to attend with one of our great collecting friends Sam, and have all sorts of fun conversing over collectibles, guest signings, and of course, the awesome & interesting cos players in attendance. One thing to note, Hasbro should make a presence there seeing that they have an office, literally, right next door to the convention center.

It was great to go down memory lane and see all sorts of collectibles from my childhood, everything from Star Wars (a-duh), WWF action figures, M.A.S.K., TMNT, Crash Test Dummies, Pee Wee Herman talking doll, legos, G.I. Joes, Indiana Jones, etc. It was also great to see TVC, NECA, and Hiya modern toys which I enjoy as well. This year, we also conversed with a couple great vendors and talk about the con circuit and what shows to get to. Apparently Joe Fest is a blast and any con in Ohio for Vintage Star Wars (ICC too).

I didn’t see anything that was a must have and decided to buy a couple xmas gifts for the kiddos. After all, Hasbro has recently taken a lot of my discretionary income including 3 HasLabs…

Get out to a con, have some fun, let goooo.

Big thanks to the guys at banthaskull for the invitation to join in on the coverage and for letting me leverage some photos. Who’s that guy pulling a fast one on a Biker Scout? Hey….it’s me.
