It’s always challenging to pick only 10 most wanted characters/figures to be made in 3.75” premium form. I should note that The Vintage Collection is a premium expression offering us a character selection that has a balance of character debuts along with updated definitive releases of beloved characters offered in the past. The expression is to continue the vintage line as if it never ended in 1985 but also celebrate the original figures from our youth. To the latter that could be Original Trilogy, Prequel Trilogy, Animation, etc.

So with that, keep in mind that I wanted to balance primary character definitive releases with supporting character updates and character debuts to fill our cantina scenes, endor scenes, Jabba’s palace, and even tick away some missing characters from crews we are trying to complete.

• Bespin Luke Skywalker – Luke is the center of my Star Wars universe so after farm boy Luke I’d like a sorely needed update to the 2010 travesty aka diaper wearing Bespin Luke. Put him on his alt card.
• Ewok Outfit Leia – 1998 was 26 years ago. TBS version had poor execution on the likeness and confused look she was wearing. If they leverage this one then a new head sculpt is required.
• ROTS Obi-Wan Kenobi and Anakin Skywalker – Obi-Wan is from 19 years ago and the Anakin/Vader could be the first type a separate sculpt for the hair that just didn’t land well. To have these both in definitive form with photo real technology would be a huge success IMO. Anakin makes a new Mustafar Vader too. See this article I wrote for Banthskull.com.
• Supreme Chancellor Palpatine from the office duel in ROTS. It’s been since 2005 as well since we got an update on him.
• C-3PO – The 2010 was is very outdated and was poorly executed for its time. My sample’s face plate won’t stay on anymore. Give us a new super articulated version with the carbonized metal look. I need 10 of these for my different scenes/dioramas.
• Bethrupp – We need a character debut Ewok badly. It’s overdue and it should be the drum soloing Bethrupp dalmatian spotted ewok that was supposed to come to TVC back in 2013 in the 2 pack.
• Baze Malbus needs to help complete the Rogue One crew. Chirrut has been very lonely without him.
• Shasa Tiel is my Jabba Denizen selection. It’s hard for me to not list every one of my most wanted from Jabba’s court. Fozec, Geezum, Blue-Skirt Weequay, Yotts Oren, Ghalid, Shirtless Fozec Armor Male, Barada, Pote Snitkin, Gauron Nas Tal, and so on and so on. Bring us a character debut Shasa Tiel!
• Arleil Schous – All I have to say is seeing this figure in the HasLab is all that was needed to make him part of my most wanted. It’s a shame he didn’t back. The campaign execution was flawed, otherwise, he would have backed. Give us the bat demon…

Those are my 10. OT, PT, and Rogue One. There’s some Mandalorian figures I want too and many more OT/PT but these 10 will at this very moment. Next week it may very well change.
