Embo, is a 100% new tool and the first non-animated super articulated version of the bounty hunter. He’s loaded with his crossbow and some extra “c” grip swappable hands to hold his picks (pulled from his crossbow). I would love to see more swappable hands for all characters. Expand the tooling library and make this standard on a lot more figures. They also highlighted his hat’s ability to tilt up and down. They also noted the figure is a prototype and the carded versions molded skirt in a light brown is the correct coloring of it.
The Mercenary Super Battle droid is also a 100% all new tool and has a decent amount of deco weathering which provides authentic looks from the film. It also has removable forearm blasters to add a blast effect on either arm of your choosing. Looks like we’ll see an Attack of the Clones version in no time.
Sandtrooper squad leader with the Orange pauldron is a repack from the Storm Troopers of the Empire 3 pack on an Alt Card. Please note, Design Director Steve Evans has confirmed the card back render is incorrect and the warning will not obstruct the Hildebrandt logo and will be on the double racetrack below the Kenner logo. Dear Hasbro, hurry up with the barbell hips, signed every TVC collector.
I believe this is now our 3rd version of Zeb but the first from the Mandalorian universe. I lean live-action so I’ve enjoyed seeing him in The Mandalorian Season 3 and now the big screen in the Mando and Grogu movie. He is deluxe due to his size.
Devon Izara also appears to be 100% newly tooled, joins Maul, and the Inquisitors from Maul Shadow Lord animated series. She’s to scale and very small. The figure looks great and I can’t stop noticing her pants are nod to Leia from the Endor segment from Return of the Jedi. They spoke to her swivel forearms due to the tiny stature and engineering limitations at this scale. I do wish they could look at different ways to get articulation in smaller figures like they did in 2022-2023 or think of new creative ways to do so. Maybe ball hinged wrists would be better than nothing at all.
Hera from season 1 Rebels joins us. Her upper torso and arms are different from the exclusive HasLab one which is from later seasons of the show. I am noticing how better scultped her arms are from the HasLab version vs the bulkier version of the new figure.
Overall, what pleases me the most is the attention to deail and keeping things premium as that’s what TVC is all about. The film outs our also killer!!! Enjoy the gallery and please let me know your thoughts.
